This a freeware XTension for QuarkXpress™ 3.1 that you may distribute to anyone you wish. You may not charge any money for distributing this XTension, but you must include this documentation with every copy you give away.
The purpose of fcsAngles is to change the default screen angles at which Xpress prints. By default Xpress uses 105° for Cyan, 75° for Magenta, 90° for Yellow and 45° for black. With fcsAngles you can change these values to any others you wish.
The XTension creates a new menu item in the Utilities menu of Xpress, choosing this menu item will bring a up a dialog box where you can specify one of three options:
"Xpress Default" will use the normal Xpress angles, and choosing this option is equivalent to not using the XTension.
"AGFA balance" will set the angles to 15° for Cyan, 75° for Magenta, 0° for Yellow and 45° for black. The "fcsScreens" menu item will have a check mark to show you that the XTension is in use and Xpress will print with these modified angles.
"Other" will activate four text entry fields where you can specify any angles you wish for the four process colors. The "fcsScreens" menu item will have a check mark to show you that the XTension is in use and Xpress will print with these modified angles.
Each time you open QuarkXpress fcsAngles will be set to the angles that you last used. If there is no check mark on the menu item the Xpress default angles will be used, if there is a check mark the modified angles will be used.
Please report any bugs you may find as soon as possible. I will do my outmost to fix them.
